Cultural activities play a major role in learning
and understanding a foreign language...

...as learning a foreign language is also learning about culture and people.

We offer year round every week a minimum of 4 attractive cultural or social activities as well as excursions. Our program offers visits of Montpellier, cultural visits to museums and theatres, wine and cheese tasting, social evenings, welcome and farewell parties, as well as excursions to the highlights of the region (example program of our French language school).

The whole activity and excursion program is accompanied by our enthusiastic, specially trained teacher team (more pictures).

Visits of Montpellier

Guided tour of historic centre. Visit to private mansion houses; guided tour of Antigone (new city). Visit of gardens and parks of Montpellier. Visit Chateau Flaugergues. Visit to different museums etc.

Social events/ tasting

Wine tasting, cheese tasting, welcome and farewell parties at our French language school, dinner in French restaurant, wine bar visits etc.

Excursions

Provence, Camargue incl. horse back riding, Avignon, Pont du Gard, Carcassonne, Nimes, Uzes, Aix-en Provence etc.

All activities and excursions are to be booked locally at ILA French language school. You will always be informed about the program for two weeks. In order to allow you to participate in a good number of activities / excursions, we apply very moderate prices. All guided tours of Montpellier are free of charge. For all visits to museum, restaurants, bars etc. students just pay their own entrance fee or own consumption. Half day excursions are around 15 €, full day around 25 €.

Additionally to our program, there are many possibilities of visits, sports (incl. all water sports) excursions and other activities in and around Montpellier.
