French language school in Montpellier

You can fly to the international airport Montpellier-Méditerrannée from some European cities directly or via Lyon or Paris. Alternatively, you might find even cheaper options to fly from your home city directly to Marseille, Carcassonne, Lyon or Toulouse and take the train from one of those airports to Montpellier. All four airports have excellent train connections to Montpellier and are a maximum of 2 hours away by train.

A shuttle bus connects the airport with the centre of Montpellier (approx. 15 minute journey).

Flying to/from Marseille Airport

You can fly to Marseille Airport and take from there the shuttle bus (25 minutes journey, leaves each 20 minutes) to the railway station of Marseille. Flying to/from Carcassonne Airport

You can fly to Carcassone Airport (small, regional airport) and take from there the shuttle bus to the city centre. (25 minutes journey, leaves usually after each flight arrival). Flying to/from Toulouse Airport

You can fly to Toulouse Airport and take from there the shuttle bus (20 minutes journey, leaves each 20 minutes) to the railway station of Toulouse. Flying to/from Lyon Airport

If you fly to Lyon Airport please note that some TGV high speed trains leave from the airport, some from the city centre. To get to the city centre you take the shuttle bus (Travel time 30 – 45 minutes, leaves every 20 minutes) Travel time for a direct connection to Montpellier is just under 2 hours. Montpellier is on the main TGV (High speed train) line Paris - Lyon - Perpignan - Barcelona and has connections to all major cities in France and Europe. The travel time between Paris and Montpellier is approx. 3 hours 15 minutes.

Prices for the trains depend on the time and day you travel. The earlier you book in advance the cheaper it will be. Prices for Paris – Montpellier one way start at 25 €.
